Don’t you just love a good Salisbury Steak? It goes so well with my mashed potatoes recipe and so many other things. I love it because it’s a change from some of the other every day foods I make.
If you like Salisbury Steak, you are going to love this recipe. This is the easiest one you will ever make and everyone will love it.
Just mix and brown your patties in a deep skillet.
While the patties are cooking, whisk up your sauce.
Drain the drain the grease from the patties and add them back into the skillet. Then pour the sauce over them and simmer.
An easy Salisbury Steak that has a delicious sauce with a tomato base.
- 1 cup cracker crumbs
- 1 pound hamburger
- 2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
- 1 16 ounce can tomato soup
- 1 cup water
- 2 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
In a large mixing bowl, mix by hand crackers crumbs, hamburger, salt, milk and chopped onion. Create hamburger patties (It should make about 4 of them). On medium heat, cook the patties in a deep skillet about 8-10 minutes on each side (depending on your stove). Drain grease and place patties back in skillet.
While the patties are cooking, whisk together tomato soup, water, Worcestershire Sauce, vinegar, pepper, and sugar in a medium mixing bowl. After draining the grease from the patties and placing them back in the skillet, pour the tomato soup mixture over the patties.
Cover and simmer for about 20 minutes.
Serve warm over mashed potatoes.
