Grab a glass of sweet iced tea or your favorite beverage and join me on the front porch. In the south, we do a lot of front porch sittin’ and solve the world’s problems.
So, how was your month of June? I hope it was full of family with lots of giggles and laughs and that you were able to get out and enjoy some type of summertime activity. I’m always amazed at how fast summer days go by, so I try to soak up every minute I can.
How to Avoid Food Poisoning on the 4th of July
Speaking of going by fast, the Fourth of July is this week! I love celebrating the 4th! I mean what other time in the year do you get an excuse to have family gatherings, eat good food, and watch beautiful explosives in the sky?
What are you doing to celebrate the Fourth of July? Do you have a plan to keep your food cold or warm at your cookout? I recently found this article about how to avoid food poisoning on the holiday. It has some great advice for keeping us from hugging the toilet instead of enjoying the fireworks. (yuck…nobody wants that!)
My Favorite Podcast
Do you listen to podcasts? What are some of your favorites? I just recently started listening to podcasts. Who knew how awesome they could be? I seriously did not know what all the hoopla was about, but then I found this one about food. It’s called Spilled Milk and it’s actually a comedy show about food. They talk about all things food, even things like taste testing candy bars in gas stations and lots of crazy things that you would never image. They are so funny! Check it out and see what you think!
