Pineapples are one of those fruits that just screams, “Summertime”. It’s so good, especially if you eat fresh pineapples. The problem is they are so hard to deal with because you have have to cut off the outer shell, core it, and then slice it the way you want and who has time for all of that nonsense?
Well, I have the perfect solution for you! This little kitchen gadget will change your life. You’ll be asking how you ever lived without it, and you will definitely be eating more fresh pineapple after you try it. What is it, you ask? What is this magic tool I’ve been dreaming of all my life, you ask?
It is this handy dandy, fresh pineapple peeler, corer, and slicer tool. I know what your thinking right now. You’re thinking there is no way this tool will do all of that and be easy too. I thought the same thing too, so I bought it and tried it out, and this is the result of my test.
First, I got my cutting board, a sharp knife, the Pineapple Corer, and of course a pineapple. Aren’t pineapples so pretty? I just love them!
Then I cut off the top of the pineapple and put it to the side.
This is what the end of the Pineapple Corer looks like. You just place this in the middle of the pineapple where the core is.
Now, you put a little pressure on it and start turning I thought it wasn’t doing anything at first, except tearing up my pineapple, but it really was working. I had a hard time determining if I was at the bottom or not, but when I got there I could feel the difference and I stopped turning.
Next, you just pull the whole thing out and it will have the pineapple wrapped around the corer. It’s really easy to pull out. My pineapple was too ripe. It ripped the slices a little more than it would have if it had not been so ripe.
This is what it looks like inside. It leaves the core intact and you don’t have to do anything with it or the outer shell. It’s amazing! You wouldn’t believe how much juice was in the bottom. I don’t know if it was because my pineapple was so ripe or if it always does this. The juice would be great to save for a recipe of some type like a smoothie, or you could just do what I did and turn it up and drink it. It was delish!
Like I said, my pineapple was very ripe so it ripped the slices a little and it fell apart when I started cutting them. You should be able to just take a knife, make one cut down the side of the slices, and you will be ready to eat fresh pineapple.
It really didn’t take me very long to core, peel, and slice this pineapple, and it was so easy. I probably could have done it faster, but I didn’t know what I was doing at first. This Pineapple Corer is seriously awesome! I don’t know how I ever lived without it. Clean up was also a snap. I took it apart (2 pieces), threw it in the dishwasher and was done. If you want to try it, I have the link right here. —->> Pineapple Corer.
